Driver’s License Pet ID For Your Dog – Giveaway Contest
Did you know you could get a driver’s license for your dog?
No, your dog won’t be able to drive a car… But you can get him a fictional driver’s license that is sure to spark up a conversation with your fellow dog loving friends.

A couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine introduced me to this novel idea… She had gotten her dog one and mentioned how much attention it got from other dog owners… People were complimenting her on how cute it looked…
Then I thought about my students and newsletter subscribers, and how much they would love to get one too…
So I decided to hold a contest, where I will be giving away THREE vouchers to claim and design your very own personalized driver’s license for free…
Each of the three winners will receive (1) large real-size driver’s license that you can put in your wallet and (3) small dog tag that you can attach to your dog’s collar or keychain…
In my search for a reputable company to manufacture and deliver the prizes, I stumbled upon www.MyPetDMV.com, which was so helpful and courteous. In fact, they even decided to sponsor this contest!
Who is eligible:
Anyone with a dog and lives in the United States or Canada. (Sorry if you live overseas.)
How to enter the contest:
All you have to do is scroll to the bottom of this page, and submit a picture of your dog along with his or her name, and what you absolutely LOVE about your dog… That’s it!
When the contest will end:

My dogs name is Lexi. Lexi is my lifesaver. I got her after I moved away from home and became depressed. I love how she’s always there wanting to love on me or play. She brings so much happiness and energy into my life and I don’t know what I’d do without her.
This is Honey. I adopted her from the animal shelter where I work. I was there when she got brought in and I was there to take her home once her spay surgery stitches were removed.
She turns a year old in August and it’s been a whirlwind of a year. Honey is the light of my life. She’s smart, funny, sassy, spunky, and just a delight. Honey greets me all the time, whether I’m coming home from work or coming down the stairs.
She understands when I need cheering up and when I just need a cuddle and kiss. Honey knows just what to do to bring a smile to my face. She is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me and I wouldn’t trade her for the world.

My dog Gus is an American Red Cross K9 Therapy dog and I love him because he is so giving of himself to those who need him. Even when our military is getting ready to deploy to the war he can bring them a few minutes of love and peace.

This is Quatro our Georgia rescue❤️️She is a black lab/ basset hound mix who stole our hearts from the get go! She and her fellow rescue cat,Gypsy love to hang out together and play all the time. She keeps us moving and completes our family?❤️️
This is my lil girl Gingy – Gin or GinGin for short. She was a rescue and like most rescues, she was abused. She is a Jack Russell Terrier that can’t run or jump…after many vet visits and tests, it turn out she has a muscle disorder. We now do therapy together to build her up. But she is the one who builds me up…an helped me get thru the loss of my 17 year old Jack Rocky. Gin comes to work with me every day, I work with a lot of disabled vets. Gin sits right next to them and cuddles with them and they love her. She calms them down and helps them get thru their appointments with me. She is so intuitive and caring, that I am training her as a therapy dog. I just love my lil girl and she has come such a long way from the scared, abused lil girl that I adopted a year ago.
This is a pic of my dogs Jade (brindle) and Copper (tan and white) with my grand pup Kip (black). There are too many things that I love about my dogs to choose just one. I love their individual personalities, I love how they look out for one another and show affection for one another, I love the companionship they give to me. I just plain and simple enjoy spending time with them and having them in my life.
My pup’s name is Rodeo. He is a lab mix who loves the cows just as much as my husband and I do! He is a ball of energy and loves to ride in the tractor with my husband. He just enjoys being with people and trying to be a lap dog!

Stash is my 5 year old Portuguese Water Dog. He’s my demo dog for classes that I teach, an always willing partner when we do our Freestyle routine(s), does Rally, Competition Obedience, and we dabble with nosework, some agility and more. He loves to swim and ‘talks/complains’ when the gate is closed and he can’t get to the pool! He’s a Therapy Dog, and you can’t help but smile when you see him – he looks like a stuffed animal! Always happy, always eager, he’s always at my side, and can’t wait until we get in the car for our next ‘adventure’! He can be goofy, he can be serious, he can be wild, he can be calm. He knows when to be any of those things, dependent on the situation. I love all of these things about him, and more. Remember, happiness is a warm puppy! (dog!)

This is Rolly and Kira. Rolly is 8 months and Kira is 8 years old. They are so happy and loving and playful. They are always so happy when I come home and when we go for walks or swims they are the best companions! I love them!
This is Roxie, she is five months old and while we have only had her for 3 months she has completely stolen our hearts. She completes our family and my boys (10 and 7) and I feel she was placed in our family to fill a void we didn’t even know was missing. This is Nunu. We adopted her last year from a rough start in life. She is a happy, loving girl. Two months ago she was diagnosed with cancer and will be on chemotherapy for the rest of her little life. But she never complains and lives life to the fullest. We are truly blessed to have had her come into our lives….:). She is our little ray of sunshine.
Caesar is an awesome border collie that has fun no matter what he is doing. His favorite thing by far is swimming and catching frisbees. He’s also helping me train for my first ultra marathon. He is the best friend I have ever had!
Please meet 5 yr old Carter. Two years ago I rescued him from a boarding & training facility which was closed down for drugs and animal cruelty. What do I love about Carter? Even though he still has issues from those days, he has come along way. Yet he is the most loving dog. When I cry or am feeling down, his nose is right there to let me know he cares. He is a snuggle bug and I don’t know what I would do without him.
This is Karma. She is a year old and she has taught me so much in that year. I am only 17 and I pay for everything for her. She has taught me responsibility. She is my best friend. Karma sleeps with me at night and comforts me when I’m going through a hard time. She knows many tricks like how to turn off the light switch. She is funny and loving. She loves to back talk bark when I tell her no. I feel like she is my kid. She loves to play and she loves being outside. She hates swimming but loves the water. She is my everything and I don’t know what I’d do without her. I love her.

This is my BJ (Brita Jean). She is my soulmate. She always knows when I need to be cheered up and then gives me hugs and kisses to do that. She is very well behaved and thinks she’s a human, understanding everything I say when I talk to her. She is my best friend.

Andy and Nelson are rescues that have filled our house with joy! Andy is cattle dog and lab.
He is as smart as can be and can almost speak English! He plays games that my grandkids
have taught him, does many tricks, has a strong herding drive and is very well-behaved! The coon dog is Nelson. He is lazy, determined and very loving. He came to us with heartworm which took three round of meds to eradicate. Not long afterward, he started bleeding out of one nostril. Several vet visits and meds later, it began coming in puddles! He went to an emergency clinic, where he stayed over two weeks. He had surgery to split open his nose to clean it out, and many, many tests. Finally, without absolute pathological evidence, they began treating him for fungus. In a few days, the bleeding completely stopped, and now he is strong and healthy. Through it all he was sweet and obedient. He has regained his strength now and runs and plays with Andy, takes obedience classes, and has become a perfect gentleman at home. These two boys are the loves of our lives, and brighten every day!
What I love about Preston…everything! He’s a rescue dog with a heart as big as the moon. He makes me laugh.
This is Chessie! She is my Great Pyrenees therapy dog. She is my little princess. She is so sweet! She visits the nursing home and goes to our local high school. We work with the students on their reading and math skills. She beings smiles to everyone she meets!

This is Breezie. She is a rescue. Not sure of her age, between 1 and 3 years old. Right now we are in training. Breezie is a very fast learner. She loves playing with our other dogs and the cats. I am having so much fun working with her and learning what all she is capable of.

This is Zach. He is a 7 month old Morkie. He is wearing a tape muzzle because he has a broken jaw. Zach is bouncy and funny. He makes me smile and laugh all the time I look at him.
This is BeBe….I love that she was tough enough to live over 5 years with bladder stones, went through a horrible surgery and at 6 years old is still able to be a happy, happy baby.
Meet Sterling! I rescued my best friend from our local animal shelter and the thing that I love most about him was his want for love and affection over playing! He did not want to play fetch, he wanted to be pet and sit in your lap and return your love! He is almost a year old now and is very spoiled by his mommy and daddy!

This is Athena, she is a mobility service dog that I trained to help me manage my multiple sclerosis. The thing that I love most about her is how no matter how hard of a day we have she constantly happy.
This is Nya, my itty bitty pitty <3 she was left abandoned until her local animal shelter took her in. She was there for three months until my husband and I decided that we couldn't bare leave her there one more night. She has been with us almost 5 months and we couldn't be happier! She is such a smart learner and is the complete opposite of everyone's "mean pit bull" stereotype! We love her!

This is my sweet pit bull, Azazel! I adopted him when he was 5 weeks old and he’s been my best friend ever since. There are so many things I love about my Zae Boy, but the biggest is probably how he’s always up for any adventure and how he’s always there for me to cuddle after a long day. Maggie is my little wonder dog. When I got her from our shelter, she was painfully shy and fearful of anything new and different, but with patience and exposure to different people and places, she has blossomed! We do lots of things together – Circus Tricks and Rally FrEe; but most of all she loves Scent work and is a real rock star at it! She’s my constant companion and I love her to pieces!!
This is my girl, Bailey. She has taught me patience and resiliance. She was attacked by an off leash dog at night while walking with me. She became fear aggressive and would snarl at any dog within 3 feet if her. She has worked with me, showing patience when I wouldn’t have had any. It has taken quite a bit of time, but with her resilient spirit, she has finally begun coming out of her fear. She has learned to walk through her fear an has actually begun playing with some dogs. I love her more than words can ever say. She is such a special part of my life.

This is my sister-dog Ryder. We got her when she was only 4-6 weeks old. Her and her sister had been abandoned when they were extremely young because the owners has thought that their parents were fixed. We were allowed to take her when she was so young because the shelter didn’t want her to grow up in a cage, and they were going to end up putting her and her sister down because they were Pit Bulls. My dad brought her home for Christmas and the moment my family saw her as a little ball of pudginess we knew she was the one for us. We have had her for a couple years now and she has grown and flourished with us. When my baby brother was born she became his best friend and his companion. They have been inseparable ever since. She has never harmed anything( except maybe a bug or two, she loves to chase them!) but she has protected us nonetheless. She lets us cuddle her and play with her and my brother pulls her ears and her tail and she just showers him in kisses. She thinks she is a lapdog, and we like to think she is too. She has touched each and every one of our hearts and she continues to love us more and more every single day. I can’t imagine being without her, and I don’t want to.
This is Cooper, a 7 month old blue Merle tri coloured border collie. What I love most about him is his never ending heart! He is being trained in both agility and scent detection and he works hard and tries his best even when he is tired. His goal is to please, and he fills my heart every single day!

Alegria is only 5months when this taken. She is being trained by me as a medical alert dog for my epilepsy. She can be so much help. When down and incapacitated she lays across me so I do not roll down a set of stairs or into the street. She has also learned to pull doors closed with a rope and she LOVES that big satisfying thump when the door slams. I love the many ‘tricks’ you teach as so many can be adapted for a workking dog who needs more challenges. Thanks..Keep up the good work for us all.
We adopted Kahlua, already named, at 3 months when the couple who had her couldn’t keep her. We rescued a cat (Bailey aka Cat) to keep her company and they have been fast friends for over 12 years. Played when young and cuddle now that both older. Bailey still occasionally cleans Kahlua ears & face. That’s the picture I need to capture (pleasure). Kahlua’s mood seems to match ours. Energetic when we are on the go or granddaughters visit. Calm & resting when we are tired or watching TV.
This is my Bailey! ? she is my everything! She has been there for me so much since I was diagnosed with depression, she wouldn’t leave my side for 2 weeks straight after I came home from the hospital after a suicode attempt. She is literally my life saver because she’s one of the main reasons I’m still fighting and I haven’t given up. She is sassy and has an attitude but she listens sooooo well ! ?? I love my babygirl, can’t imagine a life without her!
Please meet Mickey, SD. Mickey is the love of my life. He is a Medical Alert Service Dog. He has saved my life a few times over the years. He is a well seasoned traveler. We compete in some of the competitive sports. Dabble in others. I can not imagine a life without him!
This is cuddles and Isabella. She is a great Dane and mastiff mix. What I love about her is that she is the sweetest most cuddling dog ever and that she thinks she is a small puppy still. She is always in your lap laying and loving on you.
This is Joey. We named him Joey mostly because he looks like a baby kangaroo as you can tell in this picture 🙂 And I love the tv show FRIENDS so Joey seemed fitting. He was found as a stray before I rescued him and he was VERY timid around me first. But his little personality has been coming out more and more each day and I love every bit of him! (Whippet/chi mix)

This is Abby – She’s named after the awesome Forensic Scientist on the TV show NCIS – a strong, smart, beautiful female character. The best thing about her is how she follows me like a shadow and makes my life so awesome! She is always so happy to see me come home, even if I’ve only gone to the mailbox ~ I cannot imagine life without her!
This is Sam. He does not text when he drives, but he loves to read when he isn’t dock diving, working on scent detection, swimming or begging me to throw his ball. He is a very silly adolescent who has definitely won over my heart.
River is our Boykin Spaniel, and he is the sweetest little cuddle bug. River is very attached to my husband and will wait at the door every night for him to come home from work then run to greet him. We take him and our other 2 dogs Grady and Buffett everywhere with us. I don’t know what we would do if we did not have the love of our dogs in our lives!
This is Lakota Bear! She is turning TWO YEARS OLD on Wednesday August 5th!! What I love about Lakota is that she is so sweet and protective of me. When I have to go somewhere I am sad I have to leave but so happy to come back. Lakota loves to play frisbee. Also she’s doesn’t sleep in a dog crate like most dogs would. She sleeps in a baby pack and p,any because she is MY baby!!
Meet Allie Beans. She is my sweet 21 month old baby, adopted from a shelter Where I volunteer. The moment I saw her, I knew she would be a perfect addition to my existing pack of three. She’s calm, peaceful, and so loving. Our favorite activites arewalking together in the neighborhood and attending agility class every Monday.
I love Allie for her beautiful spirit and brilliant mind. There’s no doubt she knows and understands me way more than I know!

This is Gadget (bishion mix) and Callie (lab mix). I rescued both of them from the humane society and I couldn’t have picked better pups. Gadget is 3 years old now. He’s hilarious, the things I love about him is he will play fetch forever, lick you til you tell him to stop, and absolutely love able. Callie is 10 months old and full of joy! She is always ready to go go go. The thing I love about Callie, is she is so love able & will cuddle like crazy! If I win the license plates, I’ll have to buy another! Can’t do for one dog that we didn’t do for the other ?❤️

This is my gorgeous 6 month old Malamute, I named her Shila (little flame), as she was born a Red. Shila surprised everyone including her breeder by changing colour to this lovely chocolate,, so my husband has started calling her Drusilla 😉 She is always happy and sweet natured, but oh so full of mischief 🙂
